After Deleting Post On Priyanka Chopra's Grammys Dress, Wendell Rodricks Says 'There Is An Age To Wear Some Clothes'
Priyanka Chopra opted for a rather daring outfit and made a fashion statement at the 2020 Grammys red carpet as she arrived with her hubby Nick Jonas. PeeCee opted for a navel baring Ralph and Russo gown, that had a deep-v neckline and her outfit garnered a lot of attention. Social media users were largely divided in two- some criticized her look, calling it too risqué or thought it didn’t suit her body type, while another section praised her for owning the gown. A few days ago, designer Wendell Rodricks had also commented on the gown. He was soon criticized by Suchitra Krishnamoorthi as well as many others, and now he has reacted on the same.

While commenting on Priyanka Chopra’s gown, Wendell Rodricks had written that her “neckline goes all the way from LA to Cuba.” In another post, he had written briefly about the dress poking fun at it, which has now been deleted, but remains as a screenshot on Suchitra's Instagram post. Now, answering those who bashed him for his remarks on the gown, Wendell Rodricks, in a new Instagram post wrote that it was more of dress shaming than body shaming. He wrote, “For all those that said some really nasty things about me body shaming, here is my retort. Did I say anything about her body? No. Many women did. I just said the dress was wrong for her despite it being couture. It was more dress shaming than body shaming.” ALSO READ: Priyanka Chopra Trolled For Navel Baring Grammys Outfit, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi Hits Back ‘Would Anyone Ever Comment On A Man's Belly?’

Wendell Rodricks further wrote how people should dress. “There is an age to wear some clothes. Men with huge bellies should not wear tight T shirts. Same with women who wear minis past a certain age. If you don’t have it, don’t flaunt it. I stopped wearing Bermudas as I have a few varicose veins. Don’t make every issue body shaming, sexist or whatever. Or you can be false and fake resorting to being politically correct and not be truthful.”

For those unaware, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi had backed Priyanka Chopra for wearing the Grammys outfit with utmost confidence without hiding her belly and had said that her confidence is inspiring.  Ending the note, she questioned whether anyone would have dared comment on a man’s belly, the way they were, for Priyanka Chopra
